Tilapia Kabayaki is a popular snack in Taiwan made from fish belly meat. It is marinated with soy sauce, ginger, and sugar, then enjoyed grilled. The fish belly of our responsibly raised tilapia can serve as an excellent substitute for unagi, the Japanese freshwater eel, as it shares a similar oily texture. Fish skin is deep-fried into crisps worldwide, and tilapia heads and bones are used in fish head curries and soups. Additionally, minced tilapia meat is used in tasty burgers, challenging the notion of “by-products.” Many of our raw ingredients are versatile and serve as important components in various specialties.
